My Practice

I treat complex injuries of the arms, legs, and pelvis—including fractures and injuries to muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Care includes new injuries as well as revision (redo) fracture surgery and deformity correction when problems occur after prior treatment, including surgery performed by another surgeon. Thoughtful communication is central to my approach: I explain what I’m seeing, outline options (including non-surgical care when appropriate), and help you choose the plan that best fits your goals.

I also treat arthritis with shoulder, hip, and knee replacement, including first-time and revision joint replacement when a previous replacement has failed. Within our physician group, I focus on the more complex joint replacement and revision cases, helping manage challenging situations such as bone loss, prior surgery, or complications after earlier procedures. Patients of all ages are welcome, and I regularly see second opinions and revision surgery after treatment performed elsewhere.

Every injury and every patient is different. My role is to understand your goals, explain what’s going on in plain language, and outline the options—surgical and non-surgical—so you can make the decision that fits you best.

I don’t believe in pushing treatment. I believe in partnership. We’ll review your physical exam and imaging together when possible, talk through the benefits and risks of each path, and decide on a plan that matches your health, lifestyle, and timeline.

An orthopaedic trauma and reconstruction surgeon treats fractures and complex injuries, including pelvis/acetabulum injuries and fractures involving joints. Reconstruction also covers problems after injury or surgery—like fractures that don’t heal normally (nonunion) or heal in a poor position (malunion)—with the goal of restoring alignment, stability, and function. Sometimes that means getting a joint replacement.
I evaluate and treat bony and soft tissue injuries of the extremities and pelvis, including:
- Shoulder to fingers: shoulder, humerus, elbow, forearm, wrist, hand, and fingers
- Pelvis/acetabulum to toes: pelvis and acetabulum (hip socket), femur, knee, tibia/fibula, ankle, foot, and toes
This includes both simple and complex fractures, joint-involving injuries, and fracture problems that aren’t healing as expected.
Reconstruction is careful planning to restore function when the problem is complex. Sometimes that involves fixing bone and alignment; other times it involves primary or revision joint replacement, especially when a joint is severely damaged by arthritis, injury, or prior surgery—or when there’s an issue with a prior implant.
I see patients of all ages, including paediatric, adult, and seniors. My oldest patient so far has been 107!
Yes, we accept new referrals. You may self-refer, and we accept referrals from other surgeons, physicians and health care professionals.
Many orthopaedic surgeons focus primarily on either fracture care or joint replacement. My practice includes both complex trauma/reconstruction and complete arthroplasty care, including revision joint replacement. This matters because injuries, prior surgery, and implants often overlap—fractures can occur around replacements, arthritis can follow trauma, and anatomy can be more challenging after earlier procedures. By routinely managing complex cases, care is planned around the full picture—alignment, stability, bone quality, and recovery goals—so you receive one coordinated plan rather than piecemeal recommendations.
